Brittny Anderson is a lifelong resident of the Kootenays and former small-business owner. Elected as MLA for Nelson-Creston in 2020, and re-elected in 2024, Brittny has served as Minister of State for Local Governments and Rural Communities, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, as well as the Premier’s Special Advisor on Youth.
Brittny previously served her community as a Nelson city councillor and board member for the Regional District of Central Kootenay, where her work covered environmental services, resource recovery and water systems. Like so many people in the Kootenays, Brittny is passionate about spending time outdoors, and can often be found hiking with her family and her dogs Stella and Boreal.
