Brittny Anderson

Nelson-Creston

A strong advocate for the Kootenays.

Brittny Anderson is dedicated to working for our region. She has served on Nelson’s City Council since 2018 and sits on the board of the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK). Brittny has been a strong advocate for action on climate change and increasing services for the most vulnerable people in our communities. She has championed active transportation and has been dedicated to supporting the local small business community through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brittny Anderson grew up here in the Kootenays. As a young person, she expanded her horizons on a Rotary youth exchange. Driven to make a positive impact on the world, she was elected as LVR’s school Prime Minister. She went on to study at Selkirk College and graduated from UBC Okanagan with a degree in International Relations. She continued her education in Budapest, completing a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy.
